چکیده
This study has two main aims; firstly, investigating the behavior of slabs that are strengthened with different types reinforcements and Slurry-Infiltrated Mat Concrete (SIMCON) laminates, having dimensions thicknesses subjected to static dynamic (impact) loads. Secondly, development a non-linear finite element (FE) model simulate tested utilizing ABAQUS/Standard package. The modeling NSC either SIMCON or steel plates involves using three-dimensional solid elements partially integrated concretes 8-node brick (C3D8R). results experimental numerical investigations compared examine whether slab is sufficient. comparison includes type, material characteristics, real constants, convergence study. predicted ultimate load-carrying capacity versus vertical deformation response lab correspond it, as obtained via FE analysis all slabs. In addition, specimens were ones laminates. have led number significant observations. Considering punching shear strength, it was found strengthening in increased slab’s outperformed steel-strengthened As for plate stiffness, SIMCON-strengthened presented higher stiffness rates than slabs, extent even 20 mm plate-strengthened any thickness dimensions. axial load-displacement relationships indicate models show stiffer when relationships. significantly affects capacity, increases increase thickness. Likewise, from gives capacity. Finally, since yield line analyses these match closely, this method considered be suitable practical use determining strength plated Therefore, conclusion drawn proposed can sufficiently used evaluating responses cyclic impact load.

A Theoretical Study of the Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Columns Strengthened by Steel Plates and Transverse Reinforcements
Jacketing of reinforced concrete columns is a common and useful strengthening method. This method substantially improves mechanical properties of the column, such as flexural strength as well as shear and ductility. In this paper, the behavior of confined reinforced concrete columns are investigated. The results indicate that the method is more effective for slender columns in the region of the...

متن کاملTHEORETICAL AND NUMERICAL STUDY ON THE STRENGTHENED STEEL PLATE SHEAR WALLS BY FRP LAMINATES
In this paper, nonlinear behavior of strengthened steel plate shear walls (SPSWs) by FRP laminates theoretically and numerically has been investigated. In the first part, a new method, “the composite-plate frame Interaction (C-PFI) method”, has been introduced to predict the shear behavior of the composite steel plate shear wall systems (CSPSWs). In the second part, several models of one-story ...
